This book talks about meditating our thoughts on the Bible.
How and what we focus our thoughts on are of vital importance whether or not we are Christians. As a person thinks, so is he, and he who sows thoughts of a certain manner, reaps in due time the thoughts he has sown.
This is the exact reason why “positive thinking” books and books such as “Secret” are so popular, and why there are many “testimonials” backing up these theories.
In the area of biblical discipleship, we need to live our lives based on truths, and not just pure “positive thinking”. This is as essential, and logical, as educating ourselves on laws of physics, math and language, for effective and enriching everyday life. We all know that good students don’t just read the theories and memorize them. They think through, understand, and do exercises to practice their knowledge. In our case, meditating on the Bible is part of the process to becoming good disciples/students of God as we learn truly how to live life well according to His truths.
Please read this book if you want to be a good disciple.
